How it works

From first spark to finished line-up, in seven steps.

Follow the guided path, or switch to the free studio and jump between steps. Both work on the same collection.

  1. 01

    Concept

Name the collection, the season and who it's for. Pick a few words that hold the idea.

  2. 02

    Moodboard

Arrange images, colour chips and notes on a free canvas. Crop, rotate, layer and export.

  3. 03

    Colours

Pull a palette from your images, then name, order and refine every colour.

  4. 04

    Fabrics & prints

Choose fabrics for how they look and move, and prints you can scale, rotate and recolour.

  5. 05

    Garments

Start from a template, swap collars, sleeves and lengths, and paint each panel.

  6. 06

    Collection

Order the line-up, group looks, mark favourites and see how the pieces work together.

  7. 07

    Presentation

Choose a layout style and export a polished PDF of the whole collection.

  8. Begin with the Soft City sample to see every step filled in.

Questions

What you can make, and what to expect.

What can I make with Yamica Studio?

Moodboards, colour palettes, fabric and print selections, garment flats (shirts, T-shirts, dresses, skirts, trousers and jackets) and a full collection presentation.

What can I export?

Moodboards as PNG, garments as PNG or SVG, single presentation pages as PNG, and the whole presentation as a PDF. You can also download a backup file of your collections.

Are the garments sewing patterns?

These are fashion flats for visual design intent. They aren't sewing patterns and don't simulate fit, drape or fabric behaviour.

Are the colours exact?

On-screen colours are visual references and may look different on real fabric. Names and values here aren't verified Pantone matches.

Do I need an account? Where is my work saved?

No account. Your collections are saved in this browser on this device. They don't sync to other devices. Download a backup to keep a copy or move to another browser.

Can I use the library images as prints for sale?

The inspiration images are original references made for this studio and are fine to use on boards and presentations. Develop your own artwork before printing anything commercially. The built-in vector prints are free to use in your designs.

Start with a feeling.

An image, a colour, a word. The studio helps you turn it into a collection.
